We have a selection of wheelchairs available to hire from our office within our Haven Community Hub on Hamlet Court Road. Wheelchair hire prices start from just £5 for one day and these are available on a long term or short term basis. With a special offer price of £20 for a full week and £65 for a month hire. Our manual wheelchairs offer comfortable support in a range of adult size, available for collection from our offices in Westcliff.
All our wheelchairs are foldable. Some more lightweight than others, and one popular bariatric wheelchair. All our wheelchairs have kindly been donated to the charity.

Wheelchairs can only be collected and returned during office hours, Mon-Fri 9am-3pm but please talk to us if you cannot make these timings. We also accept donations of wheelchairs in good condition – a great way to help support our charity.
When hiring a wheelchair photo ID is required, along with a £25 deposit.
Age Concern Southend have provided a number of wheelchairs to the local community at affordable hire prices. If you are recovering from an operation, have an injury or on-going condition, talk to us about our wheelchair hire service and regain mobility and independence.
Our wheelchairs are serviced regularly by the Essex Mobility Centre who have supported Age Concern for many years.
Essex Mobility Centre’s dedicated team of staff have more than 50 years’ combined experience; helping people choose their mobility aids from their extensive range, plus servicing support and home demonstrations.
