Inside the Haven Community Hub

The Haven Community Hub is a two story Grade II listed building located on Hamlet Court Road, Westcliff at the site of the old Havens Department store. The postal address is 138-140 Hamlet Court Road, Westcliff-on-Sea, SS0 7LW.

The space was leased to Age Concern Southend in 2018 as part of a project to expand their operations. We have recently more our Age Concern office into the Hub. A number of classes, workshops and groups are held within the hub as well as providing hire space to other community groups, businesses and charities.

If you are interested in hiring one of our many rooms to host a class, activity or meeting, please contact us.

We are within walking distance of Westcliff Station, Hamlet Court Road car park and various bus stops.

As a guide, our larger upstairs space can be hired for £25 p/h and is ideal for larger group meetings, classes and workshops. The room can hold approximately 60 people. Several smaller rooms are also available to hire on an hourly basis. Please phone or email to enquire 01702 345373 or marie.antoniou@ageconcernsouthend.co.uk

Concessions are made for larger or frequent bookings and for charities – please speak with us so we can provide a quote.

We have a number of facilities onsite to make use of including, tea urns, PA system, projector, piano, tables and chairs. We have toilet facilities both upstairs and downstairs (including disabled toilets and baby changing) and Millie’s Café , which is open 9am- 4pm Monday to Saturday. Our upstairs hall also has a small kitchen hatch attached.

Late evening and weekend hires are available – please get in touch to find out more.
