The Priority Services Register (PSR) helps gas and electricity companies look after YOU if you have additional communication, access or safety needs.
It’s FREE and easy to join and gives extra support to those who need it.
Being on the PSR register gives you access to a variety of services depending on your circumstances such as:
- alternative facilities for cooking and heating in a gas emergency
- information and bills in a different format
- a “Knock & Wait” service to make home visits easier, allowing you more time to get to the door.
PSR is available to people who
- are of pensionable age
- have a chronic or serious illness
- are dependent on medical equipment
- have poor mobility, sight, hearing, smell or speech difficulties
- are not able to communicate in English
- families with young children under 5
