Celebrating National Volunteers’ Week 2022
It’s National Volunteers’ Week 1st – 7th June, so we would like to take the opportunity to say a big THANK YOU to our volunteers.
Here at Age Concern Southend our variety of volunteers is astounding. From the passionate, and frankly incredible, volunteer team in the Day Centre, Pauline, Priti, Jeff and Deborah to Andrea, Jace and Amelia who help in the office, Rashida who helps with grant writing, Lin and Deborah on Reception, Claire and Alan our IT gurus, 111 volunteer Befrienders to our 6 Trustees; from our highly skilled class tutors – Edwyn, Teresa, Dee and Julie to Dave who builds our Database; and Sam & Wendy who help at the Hub, to all our event hosts; including the lovely Sue, David, Ailsa, Doris and Brian and our small helpers – often brought in with their parents to help out and make our day. We even have Santa himself on our team ????. Volunteers really are the heart of Age Concern Southend. As they say, ‘TEAM WORK MAKES THE DREAM WORK’ and through the generous time and energy of our volunteers, Age Concern Southend is making a real difference to the lives of local older people and YOUR input makes that difference.
As a small gesture of our thanks for your time and energy, we have put together some offers from some of our business partners and have contacted our volunteers directly.
