Days at the Haven introduces TRAVEL IN TIME TUESDAYS

‘Days at The Haven’ is our specialist neurological day centre service for older people living with neurological conditions such as Dementia, Parkinson’s, Brain Injury and Stroke Survivors. The adult day care centre offers quality respite care for loved ones and carers, when you need it.

*NEW FOR TUESDAYS* Every Tuesday afternoon, 1-4pm, we will travel in time, exploring our clients pasts and local history. We will use this session to improve communication skills, hope to evoke memories, reduce stress and anxiety and encourage emotional strength through REMINISCENCE THERAPY. We will be talking about ‘the good old days’, crafting e.g. creating memory books, encouraging clients to bring in old photos and items to talk about in an individual and shared group session and including visits from local groups of interest, tailored to this sessions theme of history.
