Volunteering Opportunities at The Haven Community Hub

Age Concern Southend couldn’t do any of the work we do without the continued support from our family of volunteers. Our volunteers are a very special group of people who often get as much out of volunteering as the older people that we help.

If you have some free time – even an hour or two during the week – speak to us about volunteering. There are so many ways that you could help. We are currently looking for volunteers to help us with the following ad-hoc tasks and help spread the word about our charity:

• Flyer distribution of our new elderly services flyer and event flyers.
• Event support: Asda Shoeburyness on 6^th April, 10am-3pm – bucket collection and flyer distribution
• Event support: Coronation Tea Dance on Thursday 4^th May, 2-4pm – set up, stewarding, raffle stall
• Event support: Garon Park Coronation Event, 8th May, 10am – 4pm – community engagement
• Event support: Trinity Fair Rayleigh, 11th June, 10am – 4pm – community engagement

We also have an exciting opportunity for someone looking for longer-term volunteering role.

We are looking for two part-time 15 hour a week volunteer coordinators. The job role would expect you to be out and about within the community making positive connections as well as processing and interviewing all volunteer applications.
